Easy Pizza Sauce

This easy delicious pizza sauce recipe will take your homemade pizza nights to the next level! Plus, it makes a great dipping sauce for mozzarella sticks, garlic bread, pizza crust... you name it.

Ingredients

  • ½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 15 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • cup tomato puree
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp dried basil

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat until shimmering. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, sea salt, and basil. Stir to combine and let cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer sauce to a dish to cool before using or storing in an airtight container.*

Notes

Storing: This pizza sauce will keep for up to a week in the fridge, or up to 3 months in the freezer, when stored in an air-tight container. If freezing, defrost sauce in the fridge overnight before using.
