Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a large baking sheet with foil.
  • Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise, then core and remove seeds. Place them on the baking sheet cut side up.
  • Bake jalapenos for 15 minutes, until slightly softened. While they're baking, let the garlic & herbs spreadable cheese come to room temperature so it's easier to spread.*
  • Remove jalapenos from the oven. Carefully fill each boat with a schmear of garlic & herbs cheese, then top with crumbled bacon.
  • Bake for 5 more minutes, until cheese is warmed through. Remove from oven and let cool for up to 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Jalapenos: Carefully selecting the right jalapenos will make this recipe a lot easier. Look for ones that are pretty flat on two opposite sides, so that they'll lay flat on the baking sheet once they're cut in half.
Filling the boats: The jalapenos will be hot to the touch after the first round of baking, so we recommend gently holding them in place with tongs while you spread the cheese.
