Take your burger creations to the next level with this stuffed cheese burger. Why only put toppings on your burger when you can put them in your burger?
First start by adding the burger patty ingredients to a bowl and mixing well to combine.
Then split the burger meat into two equal portions, one for each burger. Continue to then split each part into a base (two thirds of the chunk) and the lid (the remaining third).
Using a burger stuffing tool like this one, add the base of the burger to the tool. Use the tool to create a cavity in the patty where you’ll add the cheese. Next, fill the cavity with the pub cheese. Lastly, flatten the burger lid and place it on top. Use the tool to press it all together, making sure the cheese is sealed in well.
Now that the burger patties are made, prep any extra toppings you plan to serve with the burger if necessary.
Grill the stuffed burgers as you would any other burger, about 4 minutes per side.
Assemble your burger, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
For visual learners - Here’s a great video on using a burger press to make a stuffed burger!Burger press - Don’t make things harder on yourself, get a burger press that can be used for regular patties, sliders, AND STUFFED BURGERS! Disclaimer: Because the pub cheese used in this recipe isn’t solid, trying to make a stuffed burger without a burger press will be really hard and likely not turn out well. Grill pan - If you (like us) don’t have the luxury of your own grill, get a cast iron grill pan. Bonus, you can grill indoors all year long this way!
