Heat black bean burger patties in a large skillet over medium heat until warmed through, about 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway. Then break up the patties into small chunks with the edge of a spatula and cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly crisped, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Lower heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted, then remove from heat and set aside.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and lay open-faced on a large baking sheet. Broil on LOW until lightly toasted, about 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer rolls to a serving dish.
Spoon an equal amount of cheesy black bean burger filling onto each Hawaiian roll. Top with a drizzle of chili lime dressing (about 1 tsp per slider), then close and skewer with toothpicks. Serve immediately.
Notes
Frozen spicy black bean veggie burgers: We like to use MorningStar Farms spicy black bean burgers for this recipe. They're super flavorful and cook quickly straight from the freezer.Chili lime dressing: It might sound weird to put our Panera copycat salad dressing on a slider - but trust us, it's delicious! This creamy, zesty dressing makes a great sauce for southwest sliders. Try our easy recipe here and use any leftovers you might have on a southwest salad!Serving suggestions: We like to skewer these sliders with toothpicks to keep them from falling apart and make it easy to grab them off a serving tray. These mini sandwiches are perfect for game day parties, cookouts, or holidays!
