This refreshing rosemary vodka lemonade will be your new go-to cocktail for those hot summer days by the pool.

It’s been hot and sunny this week in California, and it’s only April. But this weather has us dreaming of beach days and picnics in the park, so we couldn’t help but break out some summer recipes a little early this year!
There’s nothing more refreshing than sipping on a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day. It’s the perfect way to cool down and treat yourself to something a little sweet. But when happy hour hits and all you want is a delicious cocktail that’s both refreshing and sweet, what do you turn to?
The answer: our rosemary vodka lemonade.
What This Recipe Entails
This cocktail is made right in your glass, so the only bar equipment you need is a jigger and a spoon.
- Prep time: 2 minutes
If you don’t already have rosemary simple syrup, you can find our recipe here. You’ll want to make this ahead of time to allow it to cool down. In addition, make sure to use a limoncello you like, you’ll taste it!

How To Make A Rosemary Vodka Lemonade
If vodka lemonade is the adult version of lemonade, our rosemary vodka lemonade is like vodka lemonade’s sophisticated older cousin. Slightly more complex, not quite as sweet, and meant for sipping slowly.
You only need 5 ingredients to make this cocktail:
- Vodka – Smirnoff is our go to middle shelf vodka for a decent price.
- Limoncello – Probably the most important ingredient in terms of quality. The limoncello comes through well, so make sure you use something you like. If you don’t already have a brand you like, here’s a good place to start.
- Lemon juice – bonus points for fresh squeezed. While the bottled stuff is okay, fresh squeezed juice makes a big difference.
- Rosemary simple syrup – you likely won’t be able to find this at the store, so you’ll want to make your own. Check out our recipe here to make this ahead of time.
- Club soda – Add a little bubbly to give the drink that crisp and refreshing feeling.
Once you have all your ingredients ready, this recipe is very straight forward.
- Combine vodka, limoncello, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a glass with ice.
- Stir well to chill.
- Top with club soda and give a gentle stir to mix.
- Garnish and serve. A little fresh rosemary and lemon wheel garnish adds a pleasant aroma and style to the cocktail.

Serving Suggestions
A simple and straightforward recipe, our rosemary vodka lemonade is the perfect happy hour cocktail for sipping on a hot day.
- Make a large batch (minus the club soda) for easy-to-serve cocktails by the pool or at a family cookout. Let your guests add the club soda to their glasses to keep it bubbly.
- Pair with a summer charcuterie board if wine isn’t your thing.
- Serve with a date night dinner of pasta with zucchini and tomatoes for the perfect summer meal.
