Blueberry lemon whipped brie dip is one of our new favorite party appetizers and we plan to eat this all summer long. This fun way of serving brie gives you that creamy, rich texture brie is known for, without having to bake it, or try to keep it warm while serving. Whipped brie is a great cold appetizer perfect for a party, gathering, or snacks for dinner night!

What This Recipe Entails

Whipped brie with blueberry jam and lemon juice is a simple and easy recipe to whip up at any time as it requires only 3 ingredients.

  • Softening time: 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how long it takes the brie to come to room temp.
  • Prep time: 5 minutes

Waiting for the brie to get to room temperature is the longest part of this recipe, but of course that doesn’t take any work from you! Other than waiting, you just need to prep the brie, combine everything in the food processor, and serve.

Blueberry Lemon Whipped Brie Dip Ingredients

As you might expect, whipped brie doesn’t have that many ingredients – in fact, there are only 3! With just three ingredients, you can easily make lemon blueberry whipped brie appetizer in the food processor:

  • Brie cheese wheel
  • Lemon juice and zest
  • Blueberry preserves

We like to use double cream brie for this recipe. Don’t bother buying a super expensive wheel of brie – it’s not worth it since you’re going to whip and flavor the cheese anyways! Save the good cheese for a true charcuterie night instead.

Lemon Blueberry Whipped Brie Toppings

To top the brie for both a beautiful presentation and added flavor, we use two of the ingredients we already have in another way! On Guy’s Grocery Games, that would be called gameplay 😉

  • Lemon slices
  • Lemon zest
  • Blueberry preserves

While we aren’t adding anything fancy, the extra zest from the lemon and blueberry preserves add more flavor and texture into every bite.

How To Make Blueberry Lemon Whipped Brie Dip

With the help of a food processor, making whipped brie is really simple. The most important step is to remove the rind from the brie, and then let it come to room temperature. This will make it so much easier and quicker to whip the brie and get a smooth, creamy consistency.

Here are all the steps to make blueberry lemon whipped brie:

  1. First, remove the brie from the fridge and remove the rind. While the cheese is still cold, cut it up into chunks that can be put into the food processor, but leave them on the cutting board. This will help the cheese come to room temperature faster.
  2. Let the brie come to room temp – this could take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Next, add the brie, juice from half a lemon, and blueberry preserves to the food processor. Use the food processor to whip the brie until it is an even consistency without any chunks. It should be thick, creamy, and spreadable.
  4. Finally, transfer the whipped brie to a serving dish and top with blueberry preserves, lemon slices, and lemon zest.

If your brie is not whipping well, it is likely due to one of two reasons:

  1. Your brie is not at room temperature yet. Cold brie is much harder to whip and will look chunky before it starts to become creamy. That is okay, it’ll just take longer. Alternatively, you can let it sit for another 10 minutes to warm up more, and try again.
  2. Too much rind was left on the brie. This won’t keep the brie itself from whipping, but the rind will remain as chunks within your whipped brie. Next time try to remove almost all, if not all, of the rind.

If you have a large enough food processor, you can easily scale this recipe to make a big batch. A large batch of lemon blueberry whipped brie is one of the best appetizers for any spring or summer party. Fresh and bright, but still creamy and decadent!
