Why We Love This Recipe
Spinach and artichoke dip is one of my favorite snacks, and pizza is one of my favorite foods. So combining them into one delicious meal was a no-brainer… and it’s even better than we imagined! This pizza tastes so decadent for being topped with veggies.

Key Ingredients

- Pizza dough – Over the years we’ve come to the conclusion that it’s always worth making pizza dough from scratch. It’s so little work for how much the flavor and texture is improved compared to store-bought options, especially thanks to our favorite cookbook, Flour Water Salt Yeast. If we can’t convince you to make dough from scratch though, we highly recommend buying pre-made dough from a local company which can normally be found at the grocery store.
- Artichokes – We like to buy the canned quartered artichoke hearts and then chop them roughly for pizza toppings. Make sure to drain them and rinse them thoroughly to get rid of any excessive briney flavor.
- Sauce – We kept this recipe simple by replacing a traditional pizza sauce with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and minced garlic. This provides the perfect amount of flavor and moisture while complimenting the pizza toppings perfectly.

How To Make Spinach and Artichoke Pizza

Step 1: Heat the garlic and olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat until fragrant.

Step 2: Add the chopped artichokes to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Sauté until they’re slightly softened.

Step 3: Add the spinach to the pan, working in batches if needed. Sauté until the spinach is wilted, then adjust salt and pepper to taste and remove from heat.

Step 4: In a small bowl, combine the mozzarella and parmesan and toss to combine.

Step 5: Stretch the dough out on a floured pizza pan, then top with a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil and some minced garlic. Add the cheese, then top with the sautéed spinach and artichokes.

Step 6: Bake the pizza until the crust is golden and crispy and the cheese is bubbly. Then, drizzle the pizza with olive oil, then top with extra grated parmesan and a pinch of sea salt before slicing and serving.
